چکیده

We consider X as a signal which has to be transmitted through a noise channel. Assume also that the exit (Yt)t≥0 of the noisy channel is observable. Three parameters: the time t, the signal X, and the observation Y t 0 might me used for creating of a code A(t,X, Y t 0 ) for X. In other words, at the time t, instead of X, we transmit a new signal A(t,X, Y t 0 ) generated by t, X, and observation Y t 0 = {Ys, 0 ≤ s ≤ t}. The transmitted signal is interrupted by Gaussian white noise: A(t,X, Y t 0 ) + “white noise”, i.e. dYt = A(t,X, Y t 0 )dt + σdWt, Y0 = 0, where Wt is Wiener process independent of X and σ is the noise intensity. Our task now is to choose a coding functional A(t,X, Y t 0 ) such that the signal X is transmitted with a good accuracy. It would be noted that without any restrictions such a setting of problem is useless. In fact, with N , being essentially larger than σ2, taking A(t,X, Y t 0 ) = NX and letting the filtering estimate

Minimum Energy to Send k Bits Through the Gaussian Channel With and Without Feedback

The minimum achievable energy per bit over memoryless Gaussian channels has been previously addressed in the limit when the number of information bits goes to infinity, in which case it is known that the availability of noiseless feedback does not lower the minimum energy per bit, which is −1.59 dB below the noise level. This paper analyzes the behavior of the minimum energy per bit for memoryl...

On zero-rate error exponent for BSC with noisy feedback

1 For the information transmission a binary symmetric channel is used. There is also another noisy binary symmetric channel (feedback channel), and the transmitter observes without delay all the outputs of the forward channel via that feedback channel. The transmission of a nonexponential number of messages (i.e. the transmission rate equals zero) is considered. The achievable decoding error ex...

Channels with Arbitrarily Varying Channel Probability Functions in the Presence of Noiseless Feedback

In this article we study a channel with arbitrarily varying channel probability functions in the presence of a noiseless feedback channel (a. v. ch. f.). We determine its capacity by proving a coding theorem and its strong converse. Our proof of the coding theorem is constructive; we give explicitly a coding scheme which performs at any rate below the capacity with an arbitrarily small decoding...

Linear Feedback Communication Systems with Markov Sources: Optimal System Design and Performance Eva - Information Theory, IEEE Transactions on

The optimal analog discrete-time feedback communication system is designed for the transmission of a Markov process, such as that generated by a combined sourcekhamei encoder. The forward channel is affected by an additive white Gaussian noise, while the feedback channel is causal and noiseless; no repetition of the transmitted sample is assumed. On the basis of the Minimum Mean Square Error (M...

On the Energy-Distortion Tradeoff of Gaussian Broadcast Channels with Feedback

This work studies the relationship between the energy allocated for transmitting a pair of correlated Gaussian sources over a two-user Gaussian broadcast channel with noiseless channel output feedback (GBCF) and the resulting distortion at the receivers. Our goal is to characterize the minimum transmission energy required for broadcasting a pair of source samples, such that each source can be r...
